Elecampane Root Liquid Extract

This six foot tall perennial comes to life when it's sun-like flowers begin blooming. We hand dig the second and third year roots of Elecampane in fall and immediately tincture them in organic alcohol. Traditionally valued as a tonic for the respiratory system, this herb eases acute bronchitis and chronic respiratory and sinus infections where there is heavy, yellow or green mucus. The roots' antiseptic qualities make it useful as part of a formula for pneumonia. It's bitter taste stimulates digestion.*
