Avena's salves and lip balms are hand-crafted in small batches using organic
and biodynamic herbs, organic olive oil and beeswax. The herbs infuse in
olive oil for 2 weeks at 100 degrees F. This special process imparts the
healing properties of the herbs into the oil. Beeswax is then added to
thicken the oil, creating a lovely smelling salve with a smooth consistency.
