Full Year CSA
We love the CSA (community supported agriculture) model which directly connects people to their farmers, and we’re excited about the potential to connect people more directly with their herbalists as well. Avena is offering a seasonal CSA born of the idea that we may offer a fun and educational approach to supporting the health of our community.
Every season of the year affects particular systems and energies within our bodies, making us vulnerable to various illnesses. We’re all familiar with this in the language of “Flu season” or “Hayfever season” and each seasonal CSA share includes herbal remedies selected to support the body and mind through the energies that are prevalent during that time of the year.
Every share comes with a written piece by herbalist Deb Soule about the energies of the season and ways to help support yourself and your family through the coming months, as well as access to a special seasonal video of Deb explaining this and usage of the products.
Spring: The spring CSA will come with herbs and products designed to help cleanse the body of excesses gathered in the winter months by supporting the digestive and lymph systems, to help us adapt to the warmer weather and a more extroverted time.
Summer: The summer CSA will come with herbs and products designed to support the nervous system, to balance this hot, busy time of the year with cooling, relaxing herbs and preparations.
Fall: The fall CSA will come with herbs and products designed to support the respiratory system, the digestive system, to help ease the body in colder months and to bring more rootedness.
Winter: The winter CSA will come with herbs and products designed to support the immune system, to bring strength and resiliency for the colder months and to protect against cold and flu.
Please see the individual CSA's for a description of products that may be included.
Each Seasonal CSA is available for $75, a 7% savings, and the full year CSA is available for $270, a 15% savings on the total value of products, in addition to writings and videos from Deb.
