Our Shop

Although our products are sold in dozens of retail stores nationwide, we also have a small shop located in an 1830's farmhouse adjacent to our Biodynamic gardens in Rockport, Maine. Delight in the old wooden beams as you smell the aromas of herbs, sip tea, test out tinctures, browse an herb book, or talk with our staff about which herbs to purchase.

In the winter, our local customers love to pop over to restock their herbal remedy supplies and warm up by our cozy shop woodstove. In summer, visitors make a pilgrimage to the serene medicinal herb gardens just outside the shop to enjoy nature, meditate, attend a guided garden tour, and take photos. There's always something going on, a beautiful sight to glimpse, a new bit of herbal lore to learn, and a friendly soul with whom to chat.

Avena Botanicals makes herbal products using fresh, organic & biodynamic herbs. We believe that these vital plants and a sacred connection to place promote wellness of the body, mind, and spirit and encourage humans to be mindful and loving stewards of the Earth. Our herbs are hand-harvested in the spirit of joy and immediately processed in our on-site production facility in Rockport, Maine. All of our herbal products are hand-crafted and will always be made in this artisanal way.
