Herbal Zing

These tongue-tingling herbs swiftly stimulate a healthy immune system response with a special affinity for the respiratory system.*

About Herbal Zing: If you're familiar with Fire Cider (a famous immune boosting vinegar preparation), you can think of our Herbal Zing sort of like a super concentrated Fire Cider with the addition of an array of immune stimulating herbs that really pack a punch. Herbal Zing is an elegant blend of roots, resins, lichens, fruits, and flowers for a powerful blend of immune supporting herbs with a special affinity for both the upper and lower respiratory system of the body.

Herbal Zing is warming, and a good blend to have close at hand for protection and strengthening when the temperatures shift towards cooler weather. Herbalist Deb Soule says no home, especially during the cold, winter months, should be without Herbal Zing in their herbal cupboard.

Taste / Energetics: tingly, bitter, aromatic, spicy, protective, warming.

Ingredients: Fresh Goldenseal (Hydrastis canadensis) root^, Dried Bee Propolis**, Fresh Echinacea (Echinacea purpurea) root†, Fresh Spilanthes (Spilanthes acmella) aerial parts in flower†, Fresh Usnea (Usnea longissima) lichen**, Dried Cayenne (Capsicum annuum) pepper^, Fresh Garlic (Allium sativum) clove†, Grain Alcohol^, Spring Water.

Plant Profiles:

  • Goldenseal (Hydrastis canadensis) - This bitter golden-hued root is well known for its immune stimulating activity in the human body. Fresh, organically cultivated roots add a full-bodied and potent aspect to this blend.
  • Bee Propolis - A sticky, aromatic, and resinous substance made by the original herbalists, the bees. A collection of tree and plant resins, Propolis is highly protective and soothing. Great for the throat.
  • Echinacea (Echinacea purpurea) - Classic immune stimulating herb with great lymphatic support. Tingly in flavor, Echinacea is most effective as an immune support when used at the first sign of imbalance.
  • Spilanthes (Spilanthes acmella) - The leaves and flowers of this unusual plant are ‘sialagogue' in action, meaning they help to bring moisture to tissues. Spilanthes is a fantastic immune and lymphatic support plant that tingles in a similar, but even more sparkly way, to Echinacea.
  • Usnea (Usnea longissima) - Usnea is a lichen, a symbiotic relation between a fungus and an algae. Usnea grows on trees in moist areas with clean air along the coast of Maine and is best harvested mindfully. Deeply supportive to the lower respiratory and immune systems. Usnea is a superb expectorant.
  • Cayenne (Capsicum annuum) - This hot, red pepper warms us from the inside out, increasing circulation and supporting the immune system.
  • Garlic (Allium sativum) - Spicy, pungent and full of sulphurous aromatics, Garlic has been used for thousands of years for protection and immune support. Garlic bulbs have an affinity for the respiratory system, particularly the lungs, where the valuable essential oils permeate and support expectoration. Immune supportive.
