About Echinacea: We grow several hundred beautifully vibrant magenta echinacea plants in Avena's biodynamic garden, delighting bees, birds, butterflies and gardeners alike. Every fall, we hand-dig three-year-old echinacea roots and immediately wash and tincture them in organic alcohol. Avena's echinacea products leave a tingling sensation on your tongue. For hundreds of years, this plant has been used to support a healthy immune response and soothe the respiratory system.
