The Herbal Classroom is a non-profit, 501c(3), educational center situated on the same property as Avena Botanicals. The Herbal Classroom offers classes in herbal medicine, Ayurveda, and Biodynamic and organic herb gardening. Avena Garden FlowersStep virtually into the gardens of Avena Botanicals and enjoy a delightful tour led by herbalist Deb Soule, who will speak about a variety of medicinal and pollinator plants.

2020 Virtual (Online) Children's Herb Garden Walk

Children's Herb WalkChildren are invited to come explore the mystery and magic of the garden with a guided virtual tour by gardener and youth educator Stephanie Cesario. This fun and family-friendly event will teach children about medicinal herbs that they can grow at home and plants that delight our pollinator friends. NOTE: This event is subject to change. Please check back here for more info in the coming weeks.

2020 Herbal Classroom Workshops & Events

Monthly New Moon Meditation
This will be offered as an ONLINE ONLY event
Led by Deb Soule
Free

This meditation series will be held monthly online, so that you may participate from the comfort of your own home or meditation spot. In each session, Deb will lead a 5-10 minute meditation to help you connect with your breath and soften your heart. She will incorporate at least one plant ally (flower essence, tincture, etc.) into each meditation session.

Living in Connection with the Healing Plants

Class fee per person: $95.

A day of consciously creating relationships with the healing plants who call out to you in Avena's garden. Meditation, plant journeying & contemplative herb walks for deepening our sacred connections with plants.
