Nettle Leaf

One of the most nourishing and vitalizing herbal teas. Our Nettle leaf is harvested at peak vibrancy in spring and quickly dried, bringing you the highest quality Nettles available.*

Botanical Name: Urtica dioica.

Part Used: Dried leaf.

About Nettle Leaf: Nettle leaf is one of the most nutritious plants on earth, categorized both as a food and a beneficial herb. Nettle leaf is high in minerals and micronutrients like iron, calcium, magnesium, potassium, and various amino acids (the building blocks of proteins). Harvested and dried in spring, Nettles are delicious and supportive all year round. They nourish and revitalize the whole body.

Nettles leaves enjoy a long infusion (30 minutes to 8 hours), and when brewed this way, result in an emerald green and thirst-quenching tea that supports the immune system, the lymphatic system, liver, and kidneys. Nettle is a wonderful ally for the changing seasons. The leaves help to strengthen and restore energy and stamina by supporting a healthy adrenal system and encourage healthy metabolic functions in the body. Nettle supports healthy tissues and cells, offers resilience to our souls, and helps build loving boundaries for the whole body.

Garden Notes: Every spring at Avena, Nettles emerge from the soil with great anticipation. The fresh young leaves are hand-harvested under dappled light and carefully laid out to dry in our drying rooms.

Taste / Energetics: salty, slightly sweet.

To support healthy pregnancy. As part of a mineral-rich protocol. For highly sensitive people seeking stronger boundaries.
